Membership Covenant
Everyone is welcome at The Cornerstone Fellowship. We encourage covenant commitments not to be exclusive, but to hold each other accountable. The following agreement identifies what we believe are the core, biblical responsibilities of those who wish to experience the full joy that flows from belonging. We renew our covenants every year.
Having received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and been baptized, and feeling led by the Holy Spirit to join this church family, I commit myself before God and the other members to do the following:
- Support the ministry of the church by attending faithfully, giving of my time and resources, and doing my best to honor God in the way I live. (Heb 10:24-25, 1 Cor 16:2, Eph 4:1)
- Protect the unity of the church by acting in love towards other members, praying for one another, and following the church leaders. (Rom 14:19, Eph 4:29, James 5:16, Heb 13:17)
- Promote maturity in the church through personal and corporate study of God's Word, mutual accountability, and serving where I am gifted. (2 Tim 3:16-17, Matt 18:15-20, 2 Cor 6:3, 1 Cor 12:7, 1 Pet 4:10)
- Participate in the mission of the church by sharing my testimony, inviting others, and treating guests with love and respect. (Matt 28:19-20, Eph 6:19-20, 1 Pet 3:15, Col 4:2-6)
